WhatsApp has been working on a number of new features for quite some time. It’s already launched a ‘view once’ feature for disappearing photos and videos, and is working on future features like multi-device support and encrypted backups. In the beta version of its Android app, WhatsApp is currently adding functionality for the new emoticons.
According to WABetaInfo, the Facebook-owned messaging app will now feature the latest emoji, allowing Android users to see the latest emoji sent by an Apple iOS user. iOS 14.5 had already been released and it included new emojis. A burning heart, an exhaling face, and a variety of other emojis are among the available emojis. This has not yet been published.

It’s worth noting that Apple iPhone customers who upgraded to iOS 14.5, thanks to system-wide emoji support, were able to send 217 new smileys via WhatsApp from their keyboard. These emojis, however, are not visible to any Android user, as not even Android 11 supports them. WhatsApp has finally released an update that will allow photos to display correctly.
Apple has previously provided support for three main sets of emoji, as reported in April. An exhaling (or sighing) face, a face in the clouds, and a face with spiral eyes are among the first. The second group includes two new heart emojis: a heart on fire and a “heart under repair”, while the third group includes support for a wide range of new emojis and gender combinations.
According to the report, users who have updated their beta version of WhatsApp for Android to version 2.21.16.10 can easily see all the new emojis sent by iOS users. Consider this: they can send these emoji through the app’s emoji picker, but not from the keyboard. With the upcoming Android 12 update, system-wide support for these emojis will be available.
