Angira’s journey to fame began in the world of television production with Channel V. Her hard work and dedication was quickly noticed and she was promoted to assistant film director. In 2013, she made her first major appearance as host of the popular UTV Bindass show, Beg Borrow Steal. That same year, Angira made her debut in the exciting film Ek Bura Aadmi as a supporting actress.
Finally, in 2015, Angira experienced the biggest breakthrough in her career after appearing in the acclaimed romantic comedy web series Bang Baaja Baaraat alongside Ali Fazal and Rajit Kapoor, where she played the role of Shahana Arora. After that, she appeared in Anand Tiwari’s film Love Per Square Foot as Karina D’Souza with Vicky Kaushal in 2018.
In 2019, Angira gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of British intelligence agent Mallika Sood in the action thriller Commando 3. She co-starred in the film with Vidyut Jammwal and Adah Sharma. In May 2023, she appeared with Dimple Kapadia, Radhika Madan and Deepak Dobriyal in Hotstar’s new web series, Saas Bahu Aur Flamingo, which will release on May 5, 2023.
