Today, Apple released iOS 15.0.1, the first official update for iPhone since the release of iOS 15 last month. The statement on the Software Update screen read: “iOS 15.0.1 includes bug fixes for your iPhone, including an issue where some users were unable to unlock iPhone 13 models with Apple Watch.” Other than that, Apple claims that iOS 15.0.1 fixes a bug where the Settings app can falsely display a storage full alert and audio meditations can start a workout on Apple Watch for some Fitness+ customers. The company also stated that it is working on a fix for a Core Animation issue that prevents a small number of developers from fully utilizing the 120Hz ProMotion displays for app animations. This issue will most likely be resolved in the most recent iOS update.
iOS 15 was first revealed at WWDC in June and included a new Safari browser, SharPlay, Focus Mode, Live Text, Virtual Look Up, and many other features. New security and privacy improvements were also included in the update. Apple has already started beta testing of iOS 15.1 to iron out any remaining issues.
