State Police Public Relations Officer Osideso said that members of the Park Management System led by Auxiliary alias Alhaji Mukaila Lamidi in the aftermath of the immediate dissolution of the state PMS Disciplinary Committee. It added: “Preliminary investigations reveal that in the early hours of Tuesday, May 30, 2023, in a coordinated strategic intelligence raid around their location at Diamond Hotel, Alakia-Isebo, under Egbeda LGA, 78 notorious thugs who had perfected plans to unleash chaos in the early hours of the day in most of the metropolis they were arrested in possession of sophisticated firearms, including assorted amulets, 724 cartridges, a cash sum of around N3,450,000 and 33 mobile phones.
One member of the group was neutralized during the confrontation, but the PMS Chieftain evaded arrest and fled the scene at the time of the raid. It was also reported that the same group was also responsible for the attack on the 14 members of the Nigerian Road Transport Employers Association on the LGA route in North East Ibadan.
