He added to his claims: “I am sharing this traumatic incident that my sister and I encountered on the night of May 16, 23. It was around 9:00 p.m. My sister and I were coming home on the scooter.”

The incident took place at Lakedew Residency, Bangalore

Sanchit and his sister live at Lakedew Residency in Haralur, Bangalore. The society has a system in place for how residents are supposed to use the front doors. While the left side should be used for input, the other side of the partition on the right is supposed to be used for output.

However, on the night of May 16, the brother and sister decided to use the right door to enter the society on their scooter, since the road on the other side was broken and there was a possibility of skidding, along with the added advantage less traffic on the right hand side.

We entered from the right side because the path on the left side was broken and there was a possibility of skidding. Also, there was no traffic on the right hand side. Seeing this, an unknown man stopped us and started yelling at us very badly. (4/10)

Sanchit claims he tried to de-escalate the situation but failed

Seeing them enter the wrong side of the door, Subhash Almel stopped the duo and started yelling at them, according to Sanchit’s tweet. He allegedly forced the two to re-enter society through the right door and continued to publicly abuse them until Sanchit told her sister to get off the scooter so he could make a U-turn to end the feud. .

Since he was continually misbehaving, I decided not to argue with him and asked my sister to get down and started taking the U-turn. The moment I started to make a U-turn, this guy grabbed the handle of my scooter and pushed him aggressively. Both myself and my scooter fell off. (6/10)

However, Sanchit’s supposed attempt at peace ended up angering the man who grabbed the handlebars of his scooter and pulled him. This caused Sanchit and his scooter to fall. Sanchit stated, “I stood up in shock and went to talk to the person, but he started hitting my face, forehead and eyes non-stop. No one came to stop this guy, including the society guards. Suddenly, blood gushed out of my head and nose.”

Sanchit was subsequently rushed to Manipal Hospital in Sarjapur, where he was apparently diagnosed with a break above the eyebrow and was advised to undergo surgery. Days after the incident, Sanchit has taken the matter up on social media and has called on state authorities and police to take action against the man.
