Who made the world record?
Harry Kooros and Jake Loiterton, residents of Sydney, Australia, etched their names in the hallowed halls of pub glory by breaking the Guinness World Record for “most pubs visited in 24 hours.”
What was your objective?
In a daring quest for the ultimate pub adventure, two energetic friends from Australia embark on an extraordinary journey: conquer the coveted Guinness World Record for “most pubs visited in 24 hours.”
Their ambition knew no bounds as they ventured tirelessly from establishment to establishment, their passion for exploration and revelry guiding every step. They achieved an unprecedented feat by raising the bar to a staggering 99 pubs in a single day. This astonishing achievement surpassed the previous record of 78 pubs visited in one day, solidifying their names in the history of legendary pub crawls.
How did they achieve this remarkable feat?
At midnight, Harry Kooros and Jake Loiterton began their great trip to visit many pubs. They could not use taxis or cars, according to the rules established by the GWR. They took some short breaks, but faced many difficult times during their journey.
Staying hydrated while visiting many pubs was a difficult task for them. They also tried drinking non-alcoholic drinks. But some pubs refused them entry because of their cameras. They had to walk around the city all day carrying everything, which made it even more difficult. They spent months planning the best way to visit as many pubs as possible.
In their 24-hour adventure, Harry and Jake managed to cover a whopping 45 kilometers. In their quest to break the Guinness World Record, Harry and Jake spent approximately 1,500 Australian dollars (about Rs 83,000).
