What happens when you activate single mode in BlinkIt?
Users can switch to ‘Single Mode’ to browse select products for parties with friends, binge-watching, and personal care products.
When “Single Mode” is disabled, flowers, cards, chocolates, gifts and sexual wellness products are displayed.
BlinkIt has seen a rapid increase in orders this week
Meanwhile, the app has seen a surge in orders ahead of Valentine’s Day, and the company says it has already sold more roses than on Rose Day 2023.
The introduction of additional capabilities indicates that BlinkIt intends to capitalize on the growing trend of online gifting. The company faces competition from other online retailers, including Amazon and Flipkart, but hopes its emphasis on fast delivery will give it an edge.
What does the CEO have to say?
The company’s CEO, Albinder Dhindsa, said he expects a higher peak in orders in the evening and is happy that the company can help so many people send Valentine’s gifts.
Blue Line: Today (Rose Day) Red Line: Chocolate Day 2023 Looks like we will easily sell more chocolates today than last year’s Chocolate Day 🤯PS: Chart is for chocolate bar sales only. Chocolate gift pack sales are independent. pic.twitter.com/PvcVwpyzvC

It’s still early, but BlinkIt’s new features seem to be popular with customers. Albinder stated that 20% of all orders placed since the morning have gone through his “order flow to someone else.” This shows that there is a desire for curated gift options, which BlinkIt is well positioned to satisfy.
