A Black Lives Matter chapter in Chicago is under fire for appearing to celebrate Hamas attacks on Israeli citizens in a “disgusting and disgraceful” social media post on Tuesday.

The post was an apparent reference to Hamas terrorists who descended on Israeli communities with parachutes and gliders over the weekend, massacring hundreds and taking civilians hostage in a brutal surprise attack.
BLM Chicago also posted a series of cartoons showing someone expressing outrage over attacks on Israel, while another calmly lists talking points blaming Israel for the situation.
“This is not about Hamas, this is about the right of Palestinians to resist 75 years of Israeli settlers colonizing their homeland,” one of the cartoons read.

The paragliding post was criticized by social media users.
“Unapologetically supporting butchers and rapists,” author and former speechwriter Aviva Klompas tweeted.
“BLM Chicago, like many leftists, supports the massacre of innocent people they don’t like,” Republican commentator and former congressional candidate. Robby Starbuck tweeted.

BLM Chicago is far from the only left-wing American organization to speak out against Israel after its civilians were murdered in the streets.

The La Fuerza Student Association at California State University, Long Beach circulated a poster announcing a “Day of Resistance” for “students united against apartheid.”

Like the BLM Chicago post, the poster showed an image of someone descending from the sky on a paraglider.
“We will unite and march in support of Palestinian liberation and against the Zionist occupation in Palestine,” the group said.
Elsewhere, Students for Justice in Palestine is planning a National Day of Resistance on Thursday for its chapters at schools across the country, including Arizona State University, the University of Arizona, Butler University, the University of Virginia, the University of Louisville and Binghamton University.
A group of 31 Harvard organizations, including the Ivy League affiliate of Amnesty International, has blamed Israel for the brutal Hamas raid that has killed at least 700 Israelis. The group previously described Hamas’ massacre of Israelis as “a historic victory for the Palestinian resistance.”
At Harvard University, 31 student groups signed a letter accusing Israel of being “entirely responsible” for the attacks.
“We, the undersigned student organizations, hold the Israeli regime responsible for all the violence that is taking place,” the letter said.
“The apartheid regime is solely to blame,” he continued.

Former Harvard University president Larry Summers, who was an advisor to President Barack Obama, spoke out against the letter and the school’s administration’s continued silence.
“The silence of Harvard leaders, thus far, along with a vocal and widely publicized statement from student groups blaming Israel alone, has allowed Harvard to appear, at best, neutral in the face of acts of terrorism against the Jewish state of Israel,” he wrote in a post. in X.
“Instead, Harvard is being defined by the morally unconscionable statement apparently coming from two dozen student groups blaming all violence on Israel,” he continued.
