Cal Foote arrested
Foote, a US native born in Colorado in 1998, was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning with the 14th overall pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. He continued to play for the Lightning for a few seasons, helping the team to win the Stanley Cup in 2021. A skilled two-way defenseman, Foote has had an excellent NHL career so far. But now, he is at the center of significant controversy after a suspected sexual assault involving players from Canada’s 2018 world junior team, including Foote. Cal Foote has not yet been arrested for the alleged sexual assault.
