Charlamagne Tha God says Biden ‘has never been a good candidate’, was chosen due to ‘unfortunate events’

Multimedia mogul Charlamagne Tha God claimed that President Biden’s dismal polls are because he has “never been a good candidate” and was only elected in the first place because a “series of unfortunate events” had prevented former President Trump from being re-elected.

In an interview with Fox News Digital, the “Breakfast Club” co-host reiterated his fear that Trump’s return to the White House would bring the “end of democracy,” which he says is why he has been so outspoken against Biden’s candidacy and what he says are bad messages coming from him and his administration.

“Your messages suck. Although they have accomplished some good things while in the White House, no one knows about it,” Charlamagne said. “For example, you saw the article where they said that Barack Obama went to lunch with Joe Biden and put fire under Joe Biden’s ass about the campaign. And, you know, you hear my OG Jim Clyburn from South Carolina say he’s worried about black voters in 2024. And the first thing Joe Biden is going to do is go to my hometown, Charleston, South Carolina, my place of birth, and goes. to the black church, and then goes to a soul food place. They’ve been doing the same thing for years. “They’ve been doing the same thing for years.”

“Democrats shouldn’t just worry about the black vote, because when you look at the polls, they’re losing with black voters, they’re losing with Latinos, they’re losing with independents, they’re losing with the youth vote,” he continued. “It’s like – damn! Do they want to win or not? Because right now they don’t look like a winning ticket.”

When asked why polls show Biden losing support among those voters, Charlamagne responded: “Because he sucks as a candidate.”

“Why are we acting as if President Biden was ever a great presidential candidate?” -exclaimed Charlemagne-. “I mean, the guy ran several times before and, you know, he didn’t even come close. If it weren’t for a series of unfortunate circumstances in 2020, COVID in particular, the murder of George Floyd, like, you know, people in the streets protesting and rioting. And I think there probably would have been a different outcome in 2020. So he’s never been a good candidate, like in the history of life! Just look at the record of the times he ran before. I just don’t think… that he’s not a good messenger in any way. I just don’t think he inspires people. These candidates have to inspire you.”

“I used to promote parties, man. And when I promoted parties, people didn’t just come to your party. You had to go out and, you know, promote, and you had to offer things to people, whether it was free drinks before 11 or free ladies before 11, you actually had to offer things to people to give them energy. want to come to your party. Nobody wants to party with Joe Biden! Charlamagne chuckled.

“Like I said, it would have to be a series of unfortunate events, you know, tragic, life-changing events that make you say, ‘All right, I’m going to go to his show.’ It’s just not inspiring in any way. maybe he needs[s] to find a little bit of that Obama and Bill Clinton energy to inspire people because, yeah, he’s not.”

Charlamagne emphasized that the most important issue presidential candidates should campaign on is “upward mobility,” and asked 2024 hopefuls: “How are you going to put money in people’s pockets?”

He said he hears callers “every day” talking about their financial difficulties.

“How can I keep food on the table? How can I keep a roof over my head? We’re talking about affordable healthcare, right?… It takes money to pay for affordable healthcare. So, I mean, that’s what everyone needs to focus on. How can you put money in people’s pockets because that, you know, gives them a sense of security across the board?,” Charlamagne said.

He recalled the stimulus checks that were sent to Americans during the COVID pandemic, but said people only remember Trump doing it because of the way he promoted himself at the time, even though Biden also sent out stimulus checks.

“Donald Trump put his name on those first two rounds of stimulus checks. There are people right now talking about that $1,200 they received. And even though Joe Biden also released a round of stimulus checks, people don’t even remember him because, hey, let’s face it, he’s just not as good at marketing and not as good at messaging as Donald Trump is. Charlamagne said.

“That’s probably because Donald Trump was never a career politician. Donald Trump was a celebrity. So Donald Trump knows how to keep the attention on himself. He knows how to take credit for things, even if…he probably shouldn’t take credit solely because, you know, you have to give Congress credit, but then the president signs it into law. But that was effective because he put money in people’s pockets. People will never forget when you put money in their pocket. That’s what candidates should focus on.”

In addition to being a radio giant, Charlamagne is expanding its presence in the world of podcasts. Following the 2020 launch of his Black Effect podcasts, he recently launched the politics-focused Reasoned Choice Media Podcast Network, which he promised will be a platform that welcomes all points of view.

“Don’t think this is a platform that’s going to become another liberal echo chamber,” Charlamagne told Fox News Digital. “We will have hosts who will be conservative. And we’re just going to hope that a real dialogue can begin in this country. We need both sides to tell their truths. And people, we, should be able to listen to both sides and choose who they want to support.”

Reason Choice Media’s first podcast, Native Land Pod, co-hosted by former CNN contributor Angela Rye, former MSNBC host Tiffany Cross and former Florida gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum, has already made headlines, with Rye accusing her former CNN colleague Chris Cuomo to call her. she “tinsel crotch.”
