Despite the turmoil in AI lab OpenAI’s leadership, the company continues to release new products. Former OpenAI President Greg Brockman announced the launch of ChatGPT Voice to all free users on Tuesday afternoon.
The new feature allows users to talk to ChatGPT and have it respond with one of five human-sounding voices. This completely changes the ChatGPT experience, from typing text to having conversations.
The AI voices (Juniper, Sky, Breeze, Ember and Cove) sound more human than digital assistants like Siri in terms of rhythm and intonation. Users praise the fluidity of the voice functionality.
