Due to the mistake, Manu was able to get the Guinness World Record two years after setting it in April 2023. During the COVID pandemic, Manu had the idea to cover all the metro stations in India, he told The Indian Express.

He chose to make the record when metro services were restored after lockdown. Manu made sure to take photos at each metro station to document his experience. In addition, he had the other passengers validate the photos by having them sign a receipt as “independent witnesses.”
