A somber-looking Donald Trump led his family and dozens of others in mourning his sister, retired judge Maryanne Trump Barry, at her funeral on the Upper East Side on Friday.
The former president, his wife Melania and their children Don Jr., Eric and Ivanka were seen waiting on the sidewalk in front of St. Ignatius of Loyola Church on Park Avenue around East 84th Street in Manhattan to greet the black Cadillac hearse. carrying the casket of the Queens native and former No-nonsense federal judge and assistant United States attorney, who died Nov. 13 at age 86.
As the hearse stopped at the church, the Trump family hugged each other until Trump Barry’s casket emerged, and then relatives watched silently as pallbearers carried it inside.
Part of the area was closed off as service began, with the block packed with Secret Service agents and NYPD counterterrorism cops carrying semi-automatic rifles.

Ivanka Trump wore a long-sleeved black lace dress with a black bow in her hair and carried a black purse.
At her side was her husband, Jared Kushner, dressed in a dark blue suit.
Donald Trump Jr., who was wearing a black suit, had by his side his fiancée Kimberly Guilfoyle, who was wearing a knee-length black dress and a black coat draped over her shoulders.

Inside the church, the altar was decorated with large bouquets of white lilies. A cross made of lilies was placed in the hall.
According to the funeral program given to attendees, the blessing of Trump Barry’s body was carried out by the Cardinal Archbishop of New York, Timothy Dolan.
The choir of Saint Ignatius of Loyola sang “A Strong Fortress is Our God” as a processional hymn.

Thirteen priests participated in the service, including Jesuit Rev. Joseph “Joe” Parkes, a concelebrant who knew Trump Barry and told The Post that she was “a lovely woman.”
The funeral celebrant was the Rev. Gerald Blaszczak, a former pastor of St. Ignatius of Loyola who Parkes said was “very close” to Trump Barry and his family.
Parkes said Trump Barry was a converted Catholic who walked to morning mass at the church every day to receive Communion until he was injured a few years ago.

“She was a very generous woman. The homily was about the kind of life she led, caring for so many people,” Parks said. “She certainly helped the Jesuits, particularly the schools we ran for low-income children. She was an extraordinarily generous person.
“Your son [David Desmond] He gave the eulogy. “It was beautiful,” said the priest. “He spoke for about 15 minutes. Cardinal Dolan arrived very early, he couldn’t stay, he had another commitment, but he wanted to make sure he showed up to greet the family.”

Trump Barry was an accomplished jurist who spent decades in the legal world before retiring in February 2019 during an investigation into alleged tax fraud stemming from her father Fred Trump’s real estate empire.
He rarely commented publicly on his brother’s tenure in the White House, but he sharply criticized the former president in conversations secretly recorded by his niece Mary L. Trump in August 2020, in which he called his younger brother “cruel” and said that there was “Without principles”.
