Drone video captures clumsy thief falling from ladder into Beverly Hills pool

Hilarious drone footage shows the moment a clumsy thief received a big helping of instant karma when he fell from a ladder into a pool at the Beverly Hills home he had just ransacked.

The botched home invasion occurred in California’s world-famous 90210 zip code on Jan. 6, but the Beverly Hills Police Department shared video documenting the suspect’s botched getaway on its Instagram page over the weekend.

The drone footage, set to Rockwell’s 1983 hit song “Somebody’s Watching You,” shows the bumbling criminal climbing out of a window and attempting to escape via a ladder precariously placed on the edge of the pool.

But in his haste to flee, he loses his balance, causing the ladder to slide into the water, dragging him down with it.

The unlucky suspect performs a clumsy backflip and falls into the pool of the home on South Palm Drive cops said he had broken into.

The fall of suspect David Verdun was “captured in 4K” by a police drone that was sent to the house after the property’s security system alerted police officers about the robbery.

After getting out of the pool, a soaking wet Verdun, 36, tried to hide in the yard, but police officers who responded to the scene found him and arrested him on a robbery charge, ABC7 reported.
