Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, has addressed the early days of the electric vehicle company in response to a Bengaluru-based individual who tweeted that “Elon Musk was not the founder of Tesla. He acquired it”.
According to Teslarati, the tech billionaire recently restated a few points regarding Tesla’s early days in a series of tweets in response to a post by Vaibhav Sisinty, the CEO and founder of GrowthSchool.
Musk was not the founder of Tesla, according to Sisinty, and he simply acquired the company.

It didn’t take long for Tesla’s CEO to alter the narrative and offer some fresh details about the company’s early days in the process.
“That’s not even close. It was a shell corporation with no staff, no intellectual property, no designs, no prototype, and nothing more than a (business) plan to commercialize AC Propulsion’s T-Zero car, which I was exposed to by JB Straubel rather than Eberhard. Others even acquired the trademark “Tesla Motors”!” Musk used the microblogging medium to express himself.
According to Musk, if the story that portrays Eberhard and Tarpenning as Tesla’s founders is correct, he is the lone “founder” of PayPal because he founded the company that eventually became the online payments behemoth.
Semantics.
He invested in a glorified kitset car manufacturer with unworkable tech. He fired the founder before the company died.

Musk remarked during his TED 2022 appearance that his worst business decision was probably not starting Tesla alongside JB Straubel, according to the report.
Musk indicated that he had never invested in a business.
He, Straubel, and the other Tesla founders built a firm that grew to be the world’s most valuable automaker, with a market capitalization of a trillion dollars.
