According to estimates, as many as 21 Indians who travelled to the United States to study abroad were deported due to immigration-related issues. Because there were Telugu students among those who went to the US, AP Chief Minister Vyas Jaganmohan Reddy asked about the occurrence.

“Reddy is looking into this matter and will address it to the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India for resolving this as soon as possible because all students have a valid USA visa for higher studies…and also keeping in mind the careers of these AP students,” said an official of the state-government body Andhra Pradesh Non-Resident Telugu Society (APNRTS) in a statement to PTI.
