Russia reportedly indicted jailed Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny on new charges on Friday.
Navalny, 47, is already serving more than 30 years in prison after being found guilty of charges he and his supporters say were politically motivated.
This time, he said in social media posts shared by his spokesman that he had been charged under Article 214 of the Russian criminal code, which covers hooliganism crimes.
Navalny, a longtime critic of Russian President Vladimir Putin, said the Kremlin wants to “start a new criminal case against me every three months.”

Navalny, a former lawyer, was arrested in 2021, after arriving in Moscow from Germany, where he had recovered from a nerve agent poisoning that he blamed on the Kremlin.
