Shatrughan Kumar Yadav (better known as Khesari Lal Yadav) is an Indian actor, singer, dancer and model who works primarily in the Bhojpuri film industry. He has won many prestigious titles for his acting like Bhojpuri Film Awards and Sabrang Film Awards which are quite popular in the Bhojpuri industry. He also appeared in all 13 seasons of Big Boss as a contestant in the year 2019.
Birth and early life
Khesari Lal Yadav was born on March 15, 1986 in a low-income household in Dhana Dih village, Saran district in Bihar. His father Mangaru Lal Yadav used to work as a security guard at night and sell Chana as a street vendor in the morning. Khesari is one of seven children; Three are his biological siblings and four are descendants of his uncle. He had resided in Chhapra with his mother and his uncle. In his youth, Khesari used to herd cattle and sell their milk.

Career
Khesari started her career as a theater artist in productions of Ramayana and Mahabharata in Bhojpuri theaters in the year 1998-99, where she used to sing. He made his acting debut as a country boy in the Bhojpuri film Sajan Chale Sasural in 2012. From 2012 to 2016, he worked in 42 Bhojpuri films.
In 2016, she also made her Bollywood debut in the film Global Baba, where she acted alongside Sandeepa Dhar and Pankaj Tripathi in the song Holi Me Ude. After that, she worked in popular films like Mai Sehra Bandh Ke Aaunga (2017), Muqaddar (2017), Damru (2018) and Dulhan Ganga Paar Ke (2018). In 2019, she also appeared as a contestant on the popular reality show Big Boss, season 13.
In the year 2022, Khesari appeared in the film Rowdy Inspector, which is a Bhojpuri action crime thriller film that revolves around the life of a police officer. Her other popular films are Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, Raja Ki Ayegi Baraat, Vaastav and Bol Radha Bol.
