Lauren Boebert denies being drunk on ‘Beetlejuice’ date and admits she got ‘a little carried away’

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) denied Friday that alcohol had anything to do with her behavior during a production of “Beetlejuice” last week in which she and her date were escorted out of a Denver movie theater.

“What happened? Did you drink too much?” Fox News host Jesse Watters bluntly asked Boebert, 36, during an interview on “Jesse Watters Primetime” about the incident.

“No, Jesse. Not at all,” responded the legislator. “I was very excited about the musical itself. Big fan of Beetlejuice. “Anyone should go see the musical if you are in your area and please let me know how it ends because I have yet to see the ending.”

Boebert acknowledged that she got “a little carried away” during the play, noting that “it’s been 20 years since I’ve been on the dating scene, and back then there weren’t infrared cameras watching my every move.”

Security footage from Denver’s Buell Theater captured the recently divorced congresswoman vaping, obstructing others’ views, and apparently groping and being groped by her date (Aspen bar owner Quinn Gallagher, 46) before being kicked out. of the September 10 show.

Boebert apologized once again Friday for her actions at the theater, telling Watters that she “was wrong.”

“I have apologized to my constituents [and] will continue to do so. To all those in Colorado who have been disappointed, I hear you, and all I can do is promise you that I will do better, and I certainly will,” he said.

As for their date, Boebert explained that she and Gallagher have “peacefully separated” and that “all future dates have been canceled with him more than everyone else.”

“I hope we stay friends for a long time,” he added, calling Gallagher a “very nice man.”
