As the clip begins, we can see the side of the boat before the camera drops into the water and instantly encounters a school of fish.

As it continues to fall towards the salty depths, we see a variety of fish swimming alongside the camera.

Ultimately, it settles on the seafloor near some sort of massive chain; Then the camera continues, capturing more fish and more of the strange landscape.

Where did the underwater camera finally land?

The camera then cuts away as it slowly and steadily returns to the surface, giving us a fairly close-up shot of the underside of a cruise ship in case you’ve ever wondered what it looks like.

The clip then switches to night video, which is where things start to get a little creepy, in my opinion.

Not only does the darkness provide an eerie quality to the images that previous images lacked, but several sharks swim by as the camera moves through the water. It’s a resounding ‘no’ from me.

How did people react?

The stunning film has left wildlife enthusiasts both impressed and terrified.

Commenting on the clip, one person said: “The way I went from kicking the cute fish in the air and thinking ‘maybe the ocean isn’t so scary after all’ in the day’s footage to staring, terrified, to the night images, which further confirms my intense fear of the ocean.

Someone else said: “Man, there’s something primordially terrifying about seeing a shark emerge from the darkness like that.”

A third said: “It’s surreal, scary and intriguing at the same time!”

“Even though I’m at home watching this, it still leaves me breathless with fear,” a fourth viewer commented.

“I would just like to point out the difference in marine life depending on the time of day,” said another. If you ever go on a cruise, don’t risk jumping into the ocean at night; “Most sharks are nocturnal hunters that are just waiting for you.”
