A 37-year-old man from the US habitually consumed 12 cans of Mountain Dew daily and indulged in large McDonald’s meals for lunch. However, everything changed when he saw a photograph of himself at his father’s funeral, which left him feeling unwell and compelled him to make a change.
“Who is going to carry my casket?”As per Chris Stewart, a forklift driver in Illinois, as reported by South West News Service. “I thought if I didn’t change something, I’m going to die.”
At the time, Chris Stewart weighed approximately 180 kg and wore clothes in a 5XL size. His daily breakfast consisted of two cans of Mountain Dew.
He would have two McDonald’s cheeseburgers, a McChicken sandwich, and fries for lunch. As for dinner, he mainly consumed frozen food.
“I’d stuff my face with whatever I could,” Stewart told the publication. “My wife and I put in a different order for food.”
Following the realization that struck him at his father’s funeral, Chris Stewart embarked on a healthier journey.
Through significant lifestyle changes, he managed to shed nearly 90 kg. He swapped Mountain Dew for sparkling water and abandoned fast food.
His current breakfast typically consists of a protein smoothie with banana, mixed frozen fruit, peanut butter powder, chia, and hemp seeds, and he snacks on a peanut butter oatmeal bar.
He stated that he had experienced a significant boost in his energy levels.
“I used Pinterest to look up healthy recipes,” he explained. “Now I am half the man I used to be.”
