The Police department added, “Through our interviews, along with those of family members, we are confident that the now 18-year-old young lady is indeed Alicia Navarro,”

“This case is far from being closed. We have been continuing to investigate her whereabouts for the last four years and will do so alongside our Federal partners. Alicia is asking for privacy at this time. We are thankful we can bring some type of closure to her family. We are also thankful that she appears in good health and happy,” the Glendale Police Department said.

Navarro arrived at the police station on her own, leaving authorities puzzled about how she made her way to Montana following her disappearance.

According to Glendale Lt. Scott Waite’s statements during the news conference, her disappearance appeared to be a runaway situation.

Waite confirmed that Navarro didn’t require medical attention when she arrived at the station.

The teenager has since been emotionally reunited with her mother, which Waite described as “emotionally overwhelming” for both of them. Details about the location and timing of their reunion were not disclosed, but it was confirmed that Navarro is currently staying in Montana.

Navarro has been fully cooperative with the investigation and has shown deep remorse for the distress she caused her mother, as stated by Santiago.
