‘Moment Of Victory’: Video Shows ISRO Scientists Celebrate As Chandrayaan-3 Lands On Moon

In a historic moment that resonates with national pride, Chandrayaan-3, following its triumphant soft landing on the Moon this past Wednesday, conveyed a profound sentiment: it wasn’t solely the mission itself that had accomplished this remarkable feat, but the entirety of the nation that had journeyed alongside it.

The achievement marks a significant milestone in India’s space exploration endeavors and underscores the collective dedication and collaborative spirit that propelled the mission to success.

Chandrayaan 3 safely landed on the moon, making India the first to softly land on the moon’s far side, near the South Pole.

This brought a lot of joy to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) in Bengaluru. They celebrated with their team, the media, and others to make this important occasion memorable.

ISRO shared on X (formerly Twitter) shortly after the lander module reached the South Pole of the Moon. Chandrayaan-3’s mission started on July 14. The mission included a lander named Vikram and a rover named Pragyaan.

They began descending to the Moon’s surface at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, and they successfully landed at 6:04 p.m. as planned. 

India achieved two historic things: becoming the fourth country to softly land on the Moon (joining the United States, Russia, and China) and being the first to reach the Moon’s South Pole with Chandrayaan-3, especially after Russia’s Luna-25 mission failed recently.
