Patralekha Rao Yadav is an Indian actor. He is popularly known for his performance in the film CityLights (2014), where he starred alongside Rajkummar Rao. Patralekha also won the Star Screen Awards for Most Promising Newcomer for her performance in the film. She was also nominated for iReel Awards for her first web series Bose: Dead/Alive (2017) with the series ALT Balaji.
Birth and early life
Patralekha was born on February 20, 1990 in the rock city of Meghalaya, Shillong in a Bengali family, to Papri Paul and Ajit Paul. Her father is a public accountant and her mother is a housewife. She has two brothers named Agnish Paul and Parnalekha Paul. Her father wanted her to be a CA like him and was not in favor of the idea of being an actress.

Patralekha attended boarding school, The Assam Valley School, before earning her diploma from Bishop Cotton Girls’ School in Bengaluru. She completed her graduation from the Faculty of Commerce and Human Resources Economics. While in college, she did commercials for Blackberry and Tata Docomo.

Films
Patralekha made her acting debut opposite Rajkummar Rao in the film CityLights (2014), directed by Hansal Mehta. The film was about a destitute Rajasthani couple who moves to Mumbai in search of work. His low-budget film was commercially successful and received favorable reviews from critics.
In 2016, he appeared in the urban thriller film Love Games, which was produced and directed by Mukesh Bhatt and Vikram Bhatt. Her subsequent film was Nanu Ki Jaanu (2018), where she played the role of Siddhi in the horror comedy film.
Web Series
Patralekha debuted with the web series Bose: Dead/Alive in the year 2017, which aired on ALT Balaji. The series was based on the book India’s Biggest Cover-up (2012), written by activist Anuj Dhar. The following year, Patralekha appeared in the series Cheers (2018), Badnaam Gali (2019), Forbidden Love (2020), Mai Hero Boll Raha Hu (2021), etc.
