A horde of pro-Palestinian protesters making hate threats at a Jewish-owned falafel shop in Philadelphia was warned by Pennsylvania’s governor after their “blatant act of anti-Semitism.”
Gov. Josh Shapiro’s rebuke came after dozens of angry protesters marched toward Goldie’s, an Israeli-style falafel spot located downtown, on Sunday night, surrounding the front of the store while chanting: ” “Goldie, Goldie, you can’t hide, we’ll charge you.” with genocide.”

Shapiro said he had “communicated” with Solomonov after the terrifying scene and said he and his wife, Lori, “hope to break bread with them again soon.”
Other Pennsylvania politicians joined Shapiro in denouncing the group’s anti-Semitic chants.

The mob threats came on the same day that students at the nearby University of Pennsylvania called for an “intifada” (a violent uprising) against Israel.

During the march, protesters accused Penn, Drexel University and Swarthmore College of being complicit in the ongoing war between Hamas and Israel, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer.
