Pixel 8 event: Google to announce new phones and wearables on October 4

The fall season of major tech events is in full swing and now we know when Google will get its big Pixel display. The next Made by Google event is scheduled for October 4 at 1 pm and there is little doubt about what the company will reveal. “You’re invited to an in-person Made by Google event where we’ll showcase the latest additions to our portfolio of Pixel devices,” according to an invitation received by Engadget.

The date was announced shortly after the company leaked an image of what appeared to be the Pixel 8 Pro in its store, coincidentally the same day Apple confirmed its iPhone event would take place on September 15. Google could announce a new Pixel Watch, as well as other equipment.

This event, much like the Microsoft event (presumably related to the Surface), will take place in New York City. Of course, Engadget will have full coverage of any major Made by Google announcements.
