Birth and early life
Pramod Pathak was born in a business family in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He received his early education in his hometown and moved to Nainital for further studies. He lived in Nainital for eight years and then came to Kanpur to run the family business. Pramod had no interest in business, the desire to do something different in his life took him to Mumbai. Initially, he worked in some marking research companies based in Churchgate, South Mumbai. Meanwhile, he also worked as a background artist in some Bollywood films.

Career
In 1996, Pramod joined a theater group to learn key acting skills, he soon quit his job and started working as a full-time professional artist. She has worked as an assistant, dialogue writer, production designer and sound operator during the fighting era. Pramod landed his first notable character, Mahour, in the period biopic The Legend of Bhagat Singh in 2002. She later appeared in Mumbai Cutting, Phas Gaye Re Obama and Saare Jahaan Se Mehnga.
In 2012, she rose to fame thanks to the hit film Gangs of Wasseypur, directed by Anurag Kashyap, as Sultana Daku. After this appearance, she received many offers to play important supporting roles in Bollywood films. Apart from films, Pramod is quite popular in the digital space.
