In 1995, Joshi began his acting career in the television show Faasle. He subsequently worked on several television commercials and print photo shoots for brands such as Happy Dent chewing gum, Nirma detergent and Thompson. In 2001, he played the double lead role in Doordarshan TV’s Dishayein, opposite Karan Oberoi and Sudhanshu Pandey.
