Birth and early life
Ritwik Bhowmik was born on August 29, 1992 in Ranaghata, West Bengal, in a Bengali Hindu family. He grew up in Bengaluru. He is the son of Rishi and Sumita Bhowmik. Apart from him, he also has a younger sister, Priyanka Bhowmik, who works as an assistant professor at Christ University, Bangalore.
Bhowmik studied at Baldwin Boys High School, Bengaluru and also obtained a dance diploma from Shiamak Davar Institute of Performing Arts, Bengaluru. Ella Ritwik then moved to Mumbai and received acting training in Anupam Kher’s ‘Actor Prepares’.

Career
Bhowmik did his first acting role in a play at the age of 9. He then participated in more than 20 plays. He also appeared in the web miniseries FilterCopy Talkies (2018). Subsequently he has acted in several TVF web series and television advertisements. He has also worked as a dancer, choreographer and trainer for a long time at Shiamak Davar International India. Bhowmik got his first big break with the web series Bandish Bandits directed by Anand Tiwari in 2020. He played Radhe Rathore opposite Shreya Chaudhry in the show.
