Robert Brooks Drugs: Who is Jaguar Palace and where is he now?

A man calling himself Jaguar Palace was the head of one of the biggest narcotics investigations the UK has ever seen. The Jaguar Palace operation was described by police as the largest narcotics operation in the history of the east of England. What is known of the man is his name. Robert Brooks, also known as Jaguar Palace, was the mastermind of the large drug trafficking enterprise that involved the importation of heroin and cocaine worth around 58 million euros from Hertfordshire. The operation, known as Jaguar Palace, was carried out under the protection of an encrypted telephone contract of 15,000 euros. In the plan, the narcotics were shipped under shipments of other items from Europe to the UK. When Border Patrol agents stopped a package at a port in France and discovered heroin hidden behind spider traps, detectives became suspicious.

Brooks reportedly oversaw 39 different heroin and cocaine shipments to the UK. It is estimated that he delivered a total of 1,835 kilograms of class A narcotics, valued between 42 and 58 million euros, in his deliveries. In Hunsdon, East Hertfordshire, he carried out his operation in rented space at Little Samuels Farm. The officers used data from the cell site to prove that Brooks was the person using the codename Jaguar Palace and that Brooks always had his encrypted phone with him wherever he went.

His demise was further sealed by footage from his car’s dash cam, which Brooks had kept running while he recovered narcotics from the apartment. Brooks had no criminal record and worked as a part-time driving instructor. He had a young child and was married at the time of his arrest. On his son’s birthday, Brooks made a harrowing phone call from the police station after his arrest. Brooks wraps up the conversation after pretending to be calling from the office by saying, “Okay mate, talk to you later, love you.”
