Sawan began his career with the thriller Saab Bahadar in 2017. It is based on a small-town police officer who investigates the murder of an eminent citizen. The following year, he appeared in the sports drama film Harjeeta in 2018. In 2019, he played the role of Kiran in the drama film Sikander 2. In the same year, he acted in the film Jaddi Sardar as Roop in 2019. He appeared in the film 2019 comedy film Unni Ikki as Saanjh.
