Sean Hannity has officially moved to Florida.
The Fox News host first made the announcement on his radio show Tuesday, noting that he was “broadcasting now from my new home in the free state of Florida.”
“If anyone’s been listening to this show for a while, I’ve been threatening to do it for quite some time, but now we’re starting our first broadcast from my new home, and that’s in the free state of Florida. I’m out. I finished. I finished. New York, New York, goodbye. Florida, Florida, if you can get here, you can get anywhere. But it’s great to be here,” Hannity said.
Hannity’s move followed what many have called a “blue state exodus” with thousands of citizens moving from blue states like California and New York to redder states like Florida and Texas.
Those moving to red states have cited reasons such as a lower cost of living or a desire to move to a safer area.
Hannity also pointed to left-wing policies for his departure from New York and boasted about Florida Republican leaders like Gov. Ron DeSantis.
“And finally, for the first time in my adult life, I have representatives in the state I live in who share my values. I have a governor named Ron DeSantis and Senator Marco Rubio and Senator Rick Scott. So I feel a lot better about it,” Hannity said.

He added: “And I’m not going to explain the whys or hows, because it’s obvious that this migration from blue states with high taxes, burdensome regulations, high crime, and horrible school districts is real. And in any case, I am probably late and behind the curve and many others have already taken the step before.”
According to the US Census Bureau, Florida experienced one of the largest population increases in July: approximately 365,000 people, or 1.6% of its population, permanently moved to the Sunshine State.
Meanwhile, in New York, about 102,000 people moved, the largest gross population decline in the country.
