The sister of a 19-year-old Washington man who fell overboard from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship earlier this week is speaking out against “misinformation” amid her pleas for answers and desperate attempts to maintain hope. in light of his family’s tragedy.
Savannah Ropich lashed out in a Facebook post Saturday at a woman who claimed to be also a passenger aboard Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas, saying the captain announced that the video showed the young man jumping overboard.
“She has no idea what is going on with my brother’s whereabouts and his situation,” Ropich, who lives in Texas, said in the post.
The woman, who is on TikTok as @brunausaflorida_official, also claimed they had to drop off a sick passenger in the Cayman Islands during the search for Sigmund Ropich, 19, who fell off the boat off the coast of Cuba on Tuesday.

The sister of a teenager who fell overboard from a Royal Caribbean ship this week is fighting what she called “misinformation” spreading on social media about her missing brother.
The Post could not immediately locate her.
The US Coast Guard, which will investigate once the ship returns to the US, did not immediately respond to questions from The Post.
Savannah Ropich urged people to report the woman and said she would soon completely delete the post about the woman to focus on her brother.
He has been blocking “rude and insensitive” comments for days while posting photos and stories about his brother’s disappearance in an effort to encourage authorities to continue searching for him.
