The final episode of any reality show is just as exciting as the saddest. The public becomes fond of the show and when it comes to an end they are saddened but on the same side, they are also excited to learn the name of the winner. “The Summit” is one such Australian reality series that aired in 2023. The format of this show shows a group of contestants who have to reach the top of the mountain, performing many tasks along the way. According to the show, each contestant has a backpack with a share of the A$1,000,000 grand prize.

The series first launched on May 14, 2023, and was built under the direction of the Nine Network and Endemol Shine Australia. Participants must work together to create many tasks, within 14 days. At first they are strangers to each other. When a participant stops participating, the amount of prize money is reduced, likewise, all money will be lost if the group does not reach the summit in the allotted time. Jai Courtney is the host of this series. Now, after much struggle and homework, three contestants have finally made it to the final round.
Facing the 14-day deadline in New Zealand’s South Island Alps, Issac, Brooke and Lulu came out on top as the last 3 of 14 everyday Australians to start the journey. They faced menacing terrain, heart-pounding obstacles, and the “Mountain Guardian,” carefully following their every move, as they tried to defeat the mountain to win the massive prize money. But when the 3 finalists reached the final after being mentally, physically and morally tested, they understood that it was only the beginning, they were about to face another turn.
Lulu, Isaac, and Brooke are overjoyed when they finally made it to the top. The final episode of the show aired on Sunday night after 14 days of 200 kilometers of tough and terrifying terrain. All of these finalists became the “winners” of the show, but here was the twist. Under the big twist, the 11 eliminated contestants got to decide how the prize money would be divided among these winners. After discussing her case with the eliminated hikers and giving the answers to the stiff competition, Brooke was awarded $150,000, Lulu $90,000, and Isaac $250,000. After winning the massive amount, the 33-year-old Isaac says that “getting to the top of the peak has been the greatest achievement of my life.”
