Gmail is the world’s most popular email service provider with 1 billion monthly active users from all over the world. The reasons are clear; its remarkable features and user-friendly interface have attracted a large user base over time. Even when I started my email journey, I was suggested to create a Gmail account as it is quite easy to log in and access emails whenever you want.

Also, Gmail offers quite a few methods to sign in and you can choose the one that best suits your situation.

Method-1 Login to Gmail on computer via browser

Most of you must be in the habit of logging into Gmail using a browser like Google Chrome because of the convenience it offers. Here are the simple steps to access your Gmail account in a browser:

In a browser, type the URL- www.gmail.com to go directly to the official Gmail website. You will have two options: one is to set up a new Gmail account and the other is to sign in if you already have one. To begin the login process, enter the email address or phone number associated with your Gmail air conditioner in the space provided and click ‘Next’.

The next step is to enter the password in the given text space and click ‘Next’. The password will appear in bullets so that no one else around you can see it; If you want to verify that you are entering the correct password, click the eye button.

Method 2 Sign in to Gmail on a mobile device

If you’re in the habit of checking emails on your phone to stay informed on the go, you can even sign in to Gmail on your mobile device. However, you only need to sign in to the Gmail mobile app once, not every time you want to check emails. Next time, just tap the app to access your Inbox.

Before you sign in, make sure to install the Gmail app for your device (Android, iPhone, or iPad).

When you open the Gmail app on your device, you’ll see the welcome page; tap ‘Skip’ to continue.

On the next screen, you will be asked to ‘Add an email address’; tap that option.

You can select from the different email giants available like Yahoo, Outlook, etc. as Gmail allows you to use multiple accounts simultaneously, but to sign in to Gmail, tap on ‘Google’; the first option you see.

Now, you will be asked to enter the email address or phone number linked to your Gmail account and tap ‘Next’.

Then, enter the password you set for the account and tap ‘Next’.

Tap ‘I Agree’ to agree to the Google Terms of Service.

If you wish, you can allow your data to be backed up to Google Drive by tapping ‘OK’. That was it; You will sign in to your Gmail account on your mobile device.

Method 3 Sign in to multiple Gmail accounts simultaneously

In the computer

Gmail allows you to sign in to multiple email accounts at the same time and there is no need to change browsers or go incognito. Once you have signed in to your main Gmail account, here is the procedure to follow to sign in to another account at the same time:

Click the profile icon for your Gmail account and click ‘Add another account’.

You will be directed to a new login screen and the rest of the process is similar to above; just enter the email address followed by your password and you can simply manage two Gmail accounts at the same time. Not just two; you can sign in to more email accounts in the same way.

On mobile device

If you want to sign in to another Gmail account on your mobile device, you can also do so by:

Open your inbox and tap on the profile icon; then tap on the ‘Add another account’ option.

Tap ‘Google’ while adding another Gmail account.

Now just enter the email address and tap ‘Next’.

Enter the password and tap ‘Next’.

Tap ‘I Agree’ to agree to the Google Terms of Service.

After that, you can switch at any time between your two Gmail accounts by tapping on the profile icon and selecting one of the accounts.

Similarly, you can log in to as many Gmail or other email accounts as you want using the single mobile device.

Method 4 Sign in to Gmail using guest mode

To keep you safe and secure, Gmail allows you to sign in using Guest mode if the computer you’re using to access your email account isn’t your own. It often happens that you want to log in to a personal Gmail ID using the official computer or in an Internet cafe and you are concerned about your privacy; using guest mode to log in may save you. Here’s how to use it:

To sign in to a Gmail account as a guest, open Chrome and click your profile icon in the top right corner and click ‘Guest’ in the list options.

A new window will open where you can simply log into your Gmail account as you normally do without leaving any traces like browsing history, cookies, etc. However, it will save all your downloaded files. To exit guest mode, simply close the window.

Method 5 if Gmail two-step verification is enabled

If you’ve opted for Gmail’s two-step verification, you’ve certainly added an extra layer of security to your account. However, this will also add an extra step to the Gmail login process. If you’ve enabled two-step verification for Gmail, you’ll need to enter a code sent to your mobile device after entering your password to complete the authentication process.
