Recently, a trucker stole the show with a rather unusual message that made everyone laugh. The use of ‘Hinglish’ in the message reminded us of our attempts at language acrobatics in high school – oh, how nostalgic!

If it doesn’t look familiar, the now-viral image will surely remind you. The statement on the vehicle was humorously translated from ‘Buri nazar wale tera muh kaala’ (a term commonly used to ward off the evil eye and envy) to the hilarious ‘Bad nazar wale your face will be black’.

How did people react on the Internet?

Commenters were eager to join in the fun with one asking: “Bad Face Nazar, Will Wale be your black? I didn’t even understand it in Hinglish.” Another jokingly replied: “When you return to India after 6 months there.” Meanwhile, a third contributor quipped: “Abuso ka tarika thoda casual nahi hai?”

Meanwhile, in another hilarious incident of getting lost in translation, another message tested everyone’s language skills. Only those familiar with the Indian skill for literal translation from Hindi to English could figure it out.

The statement humorously proclaimed: “Money doesn’t matter, but people do.” Prepare for hilarity and ‘LOL’s! The post quickly went viral and the phrase “Solid, liquid, gas is also the issue” added to the overall comedy.
