Shootings reportedly broke out at two US Walmart locations this week, leaving three people dead in the span of 24 hours.
On Monday, a gunman opened fire at an Ohio Walmart, wounding four shoppers before turning the gun on himself.
A day earlier, a suspect shot and killed a man and a woman as they headed to a Walmart store in Alaska.
One of the worst mass shootings in recent years also took place at a Walmart in El Paso, Texas, when gunman Patrick Crusius killed 23 people in a racist attack in August 2019.
Gunshots were heard at the discount store once again Sunday night in Alaska when a suspect opened fire at the Walmart in South Anchorage, killing a man and a woman.
A firearm was found at the scene, although the shooter was still at large as of Monday, the Anchorage Police Department said in an update posted on Facebook.
When police arrived at the scene they found the victims’ bodies with gunshot wounds in the parking lot, near the entrance of the store.

“That happened right outside the main entrance. It’s just crazy,” Sean Keating, APD officer and crime scene team leader, told Alaska Public Media.
The Walmart store, located less than a half mile from Dimond Center, Alaska’s largest shopping center, closed after the incident and officers helped shoppers and employees through the parking lot to their cars.
Police have released a few more details about the deadly shooting. The Post has sought comment from the Anchorage Police Department.
Just 24 hours later, a gunman walked into an Ohio Walmart and opened fire on shoppers, wounding four people before turning the gun on himself.
Police shared in a Facebook update Monday night that the victims were transported to local hospitals, “and their conditions are unknown at this time.”
The shooter, who has not yet been identified, was reportedly armed with an assault rifle, witnesses told 5 News Online.

Walmart told The Post it was “heartbroken by what happened at our Beavercreek, Ohio store,” which is located outside of Dayton.
“This remains a developing situation and we are working closely with investigators on the ground,” the Arkansas-based retailer added.
Walmart did not immediately respond to requests for comment on the shootings.
The Post has sought comment from the Beavercreek Police Department and the discount chain, which has more than 4,600 locations in the U.S. and 5,200 worldwide.
