The whole nation is in shock after listening to the incident that left four dead on the Jaipur Express train. Among the four dead, one was the senior officer of the Railway Protection Force identified as Tikaram Meena. The shooter who allegedly shot dead four people on the train was Railway cop Chetan Singh. Recently, a colleague of Chetan Singh who was on duty on the Jaipur-Mumbai express train on Sunday night at the time of the incident, narrated the incident. Who Is Chetan Singh?
Chetan Singh’s colleague said he was feeling unwell even hours before the incident therefore he wanted to get off the Jaipur-Mumbai train but he was ordered to complete his shift due to which he got involved in a fierce altercation with one of his colleagues. Chetan Singh even also tried to choke his colleague. Ghanshayam Acharya said that he was on escort duty with Assistant Sub-Inspector 58-year-old Tikaram Meena, 58-year-old Narendra Parmar, and 33-year-old Chetan Singh. They boarded the superfast train in Surat at around 2:53 am. Chetan Singh and Meena were in the air-conditioned compartments while he was in the sleeper coach with Mr. Parmar. RPF cop Mr. Acharya narrated, “He was holding the rifle and his face was filled with rage. I felt he might shoot me too. So I turned around. About 10 minutes later, someone pulled the chain. I checked an app and found that the train was between Mira Road and Dahisar station. I peeked out from behind the coach door and saw Chetan Singh. He was holding the gun and looked ready to fire,” The railway constable asked passengers to shut the windows and put their heads down. “I could hear gunshots. I hid in the bathroom. When I came out minutes later, I saw Chetan Singh walking on the tracks. He was still holding the rifle. The train started about 15 minutes later,”
When Mr. Acharya walked to B5 and B6 he found three passengers covered in blood. Two dead passengers were identified as Ajgar Abbas Shaikh and Abdul Kadarbhai Mohammad Hussain Bhanpurwala. Chetan Singh tried to flee but he was caught. Now he is under high-security arrest and a high-level investigation is on.
