Three of the couple’s children were born, who are now motherless. She leaves behind 4-year-old Melody Ki and newborn twins Everly Irene and Rowan Stephen Sutton. Before co-owning Starline Academy for the Performing Arts in Stoughton with her sister for the previous eight years, Ariana worked there for five years, according to her obituary. She was also a member of the Greater Brockton Teachers of Dance Association. Ariana was great at educating the kids on the benefits of dancing.
Why did Ariana Sutton commit suicide?
News of her suicide due to mental health issues devastated the entire Massachusetts community, as well as the Sutton family. After a protracted battle with postpartum depression, Ariana Sutton, the wife of a police officer, committed suicide nine days after giving birth to twins, leaving her husband heartbroken. Her mother-of-three committed suicide in her home less than two weeks after the twins were born as a result of an “immense” strain on her mental health. Her obituary says that “the 36-year-old woman’s greatest joy was spending time with her family” and that she had three children with Easton police officer Tyler.
Her husband’s brother, Jason Sutton, praised Ariana for being a “very gentle and kind human being.” He commented, “Ariana wanted these kids so much.” in reference to the twins. Her twins are currently receiving care at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in the Newton neonatal intensive care unit, where they will likely remain until the end of the month. Ariana’s family is trying to raise awareness about postpartum depression by sharing her experience. Mothers who have recently given birth may have postpartum depression, also known as postpartum depression. Hormonal changes, the psychological transition to parenthood, and exhaustion are common causes. Ariana’s sister-in-law, Catherine Sutton, is trying to lessen the stigma associated with other mothers dealing with mental health issues.
