He had recently been transferred to the Coimbatore Shooting Range in the month of January 2023, having previously been appointed to the position of Superintendent of Police (SP) in many districts within the state. Now after hearing the news of Vijay Kumar’s death, people are traumatized and want justice for him. Reports state that this tragic incident occurred at the Coimbatore Shooting Range on 7th July 2023. The last IPS officer of the 2009 batch tragically committed suicide with his own service pistol. Reports state that on the morning of July 7, 2023, around 06:15 am, Vijayjumar was found by his gunman in his camp office at his official residence and as soon as the news spread, the entire community he stirred. His body was covered in a pool of blood. During the investigation, the gunman claims that the late officer had borrowed his service pistol before entering his room and after a few minutes, he heard the voice of a gunshot. He immediately ran to the room where he found the lifeless body of the late officer. He immediately called the ambulance and admitted the officer, but doctors pronounced him dead.
