This is how they achieved this feat.
What did the 300 women of Barabanki do to help Ayodhya shine?
The consecration ceremony of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, took place on Monday. Ayodhya was decorated with flowers and ceremonial oil lamps (diyas) in preparation for the grand occasion.
According to a report in The Indian Express on Monday, a remarkable feat unfolded when a group of 300 women from Barabanki in Uttar Pradesh handcrafted 100,000 diyas in an unprecedented time frame of 12 hours.
Nimit Singh, associated with an NGO, revealed to The Indian Express that he received an order for 100,000 beeswax diyas from the Ayodhya municipal commission on January 18. Each diya is priced at 5 rupees. Upon getting the contract, Singh quickly organized the women of Chainpurwa and Rajauli villages.
Within hours, a group of 300 women began working at a manufacturing plant in Chainpurwa. Singh informed the publication that the women worked continuously through the night to produce the diyas in 12 hours.
He mentioned that on Saturday he delivered the ceremonial lamps to the municipal commission office.
In addition, he emphasized that beeswax diyas, unlike traditional ones, contribute to maintaining the cleanliness of the area, and their manufacturing process does not involve the use of paints, according to The Indian Express.
