In his brilliant career filled with daring feats, Tom Cruise left his mark in the annals of daring by staging the exterior of the Burj Khalifa in the fourth Mission: Impossible film.
This daring performance required the actor to wear a harness strategically attached to the building, which required special permits to drill into floors and walls.

Nicole Smith-Ludvik received international notoriety while atop the Burj Khalifa as part of Emirates Airlines’ viral commercial campaign. The daring stunt, in which she held up pieces of paper with the words “I’m still here” and other messages, cemented her place as the world’s tallest woman.

Oscar-nominated actor Will Smith reached another milestone in his already distinguished career by climbing the Burj Khalifa. Will documented his weight loss journey on YouTube, using the tower’s 2,909 stairs as cardio exercise before ascending to the top of the spire.

British motorcycle racer Sam Sunderland went beyond his usual desert racing environment to film a promotional video atop the Burj Khalifa. Sunderland ascended the world’s tallest skyscraper dressed in full gear as part of a cooperation between Dubai Tourism and Red Bull.
The short footage, titled “Yalla,” showed him climbing a metal ladder and eventually standing on top of the famous Dubai landmark.

In November 2023, renowned climbers Alain Robert and Alexis Landot ascended the Burj Khalifa to kick off a global mountain-clearing effort. They used ropes and harnesses in accordance with safety standards, but were not provided with additional tools or support.
