A 5-year-old boy rings the bell for help after the school bus skids to a stop in 105-degree heat: “Will you help me find my mom?”

An Oklahoma mother shared that her “literally worst nightmare happened” when her 5-year-old son’s school bus driver dropped him off at the wrong stop in 105-degree heat.

Kelly Mullholland, the mother of the 5-year-old boy, posted images of the doorbell on TikTok showing her son walking up to a random house, ringing the doorbell and calling for help.

“Will you help me find my mommy?” asked the boy, who is in kindergarten, in the Ring footage.

It was the first time the boy had ridden on a school bus, his mother said.

The clip, which has over 4 million views, continues with Mullholland detailing the exact moment he realizes that his son, as well as another 5-year-old boy who was with him, were dropped off at the wrong stop.

“Almost an hour after they were supposed to be dropped off, I finally see the bus, so I get out of my car and walk to the corner of the street to find it,” he begins.

“The bus driver opened the door and the first thing out of his mouth was, ‘Oh, are you supposed to have kids on this bus?’ Full. Panic. Mode,” says Mullholland frantically.

When Mullholland asks the bus driver where exactly they dropped off her son and the other 5-year-old girl, who is her boyfriend’s daughter, the bus driver was unable to give her an answer.

As Mullholland stood there and wondered where her little one might be, she said in the video that an older boy on the bus intervened and told her: “You remember seeing them get off at the last stop.”

Mullholland said the older boy couldn’t give the exact name of the street, but kept saying “on the corner, down there” as he pointed to the area.

Immediately, Mullholland got back in her car and sped down the street where the older boy on the bus directed her and alerted her boyfriend to check out the boys’ school.

Mullholland initially surrounded the area but the children were nowhere to be found.

“So I go back to my car to get my phone to call my boyfriend, and a car pulls up next to me and asks if I’m looking for two kids,” says Mullholland.

“He [the neighbor in the area] He told me which streets and I run there to find that they are gone,” he said.

Then, in a miraculous scenario and with the help of other nearby neighbors, Mullholland says that “we eventually found them at a house over half a mile from where we live, as well as half a mile from where they were dropped off.”

The children had been outside wandering the area for more than an hour in 105-degree weather, the Daily Mail reported.

“This is inexcusable. I’m so glad they’re safe,” one person said in response to the viral video.

“The crying of ‘Will you help me find my mommy?’ it brought me to tears completely,” said another. “The fear in her little voice.”

“I am a school bus driver,” said a third. “We can’t let a kindergartener or 1st grader get off without their parents at the bus stop”
