That was close!
An Arkansas motorcyclist who mistakenly thought he “had enough stopping distance” in oncoming traffic caused his female passenger to be thrown into the direct line of a city bus that nearly hit her, KARK-TV reported.
Dashboard camera footage of Hot Springs Intracity Transit driver Michelle Ramon shows the intense moment the motorcyclist nearly rear-ended a vehicle when he tactfully swerved into another lane on Oct. 21.
The clip begins showing the motorcyclist and his passenger traveling down Albert Pike Boulevard in Hot Springs when they approach some traffic.
But things get worse when the motorcycle driver apparently isn’t paying attention and has to swerve into another lane to avoid a rear-end collision.

The passenger clings to him with all her strength until he falls to the ground facing the path of the city bus.
The motorcyclist immediately stopped in a desperate attempt to stop traffic and ran towards the passenger, who was still lying on the ground.
Another witness sprang into action to join the motorcyclist and check if the woman, who was wearing a helmet, was safe.

“I think it was God and Him who gave me the quick reflexes on the brakes. I hate to think about it, but just a split second without reacting in time, and she would have been under the bus,” Ramon told KARK News.
“It was scary because I thought I didn’t have enough braking distance. She fell off her bike and was stranded on the other side of my lane and I had nowhere to go. Then I hit the brakes as hard as I could, praying that I could stop in time,” Ramón continued.
Other terrifying incidents on American roads are all too familiar.
Earlier this year, a daredevil broke 20 bones in his body but lived to tell the story after attempting to plow through trucks and cars at more than 140 mph.

The anonymous motorcyclist, who goes by the name Street Demon PC, posted the terrifying footage on YouTube, showing his crazy but potentially deadly riding.
In the video, everything was going great for the motorcyclist, until he misjudged his abilities and crashed head-on into the back of a black GMC pickup truck.
The motorcyclist was knocked unconscious and was then run over again by a tractor-trailer into a ditch.
