A Texas toddler was attacked by a crazed pit bull before a dog blew up the front door and chased his family.

In a terrifying scene straight out of a horror movie, a 2-year-old Texas boy was savagely attacked by a pit bull, before the beast blew the front door off its hinges trying to get inside the family.

The ordeal unfolded this week when Chante Wright-Haywood left her Austin home to drop her young son CJ off at daycare on her way to work.

Wright-Haywood saw out of the corner of her eye what she thought was another neighborhood child, who turned out to be a pit bull that ambushed her young son in her front yard before she could get to him, WKRG reports . .

The video captures Wright-Haywood screaming and fighting back, kicking the crazed dog before grabbing CJ who was crying hysterically as they ran frantically toward the house.

CJ suffered a small bite to the stomach, but their harrowing encounter was just beginning.

The dog chased them, biting and jumping at them as Wright-Haywood yelled at her daughter inside the house to open the door.

“You can hear that clicking, trying to get to him. [my son],” she said. “My daughter was able to open the door and I just pushed him in… the dog was trying to get into the house,” she told WKRG.

Once inside, the predatory dog ​​clawed at the front door from the outside while Wright-Haywood and her two children desperately propped up the door with their bodies.

“The dog actually broke the door hinges off the frame…” he said.

“The kids and I were putting all of our body weight on the door to keep it closed and keep the dog out while I called the police and EMS to come.”

Wright-Haywood said the nightmarish episode finally ended when Animal Control showed up to capture the dog.

The mother of six said loose dogs roaming the streets have been a recurring problem in her neighborhood.

The identity of the dog’s owner was not immediately known.
