Shocking video showed a group of brazen car thieves robbing a man on the side of a Los Angeles highway in broad daylight after intentionally running the victim off the road.
Four criminals dressed in dark clothing and masks were caught running out of a black Dodge Caravan toward a wrecked black Alfa Romeo sedan on the east side of I-10 around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to KTLA.
“Hands up,” one of the robbers yells at the victim as the robbers run toward him.
The unidentified victim covered his head with his hands and knelt as the men began to loot the disabled sedan, video recorded by a nearby driver shows.
“I got it,” one of the thieves seems to shout as he takes something out of the front seat.
The thieves continued to frantically search inside the car while other drivers slowed down to observe the scene.

One of the suspects makes a move to intimidate the witness who is recording, but quickly returns to search the disabled sedan in the robbery that lasts a few seconds.
To make a bold escape, the criminals had a white Chevrolet Malibu waiting next to the accident site as a getaway vehicle.
The California Highway Patrol said the Caravan deliberately ran the sedan off the road, KTLA confirmed.

“[It was] “It was definitely a target,” the man who recorded the video told the outlet.
“They knew exactly what he had in the car. “They came for that.”
A Ford Mustang was also hit during the accident.
The suspects, who appeared to be armed in the video, were “armed with a hammer and crowbar” and not firearms, police shared.

CHP officers did not report any injuries from the incident and no arrests have been made, according to the outlet.
A passerby who stopped to help the victim, thinking it was just a car accident, said he didn’t realize the robbery was happening.
“I was more concerned about the victim and thought he was injured in the accident,” Rogelio Velasco told NBC Los Angeles.
“I thought my intention was to try to see what was going on and see if I could help them.”
Velasco said he watched the robbery unfold and tried to chase the getaway vehicle, but couldn’t keep up.
CHP continues its investigation and search for the thieves.
