Alba González Villa, known professionally as Alba Flores, is a Spanish film actress and theater artist. She is best known for her roles as Saray Vargas in Vis a Vis (Locked Up) and Nairobi in La Casa de Papel (Money Heist). She received her first Television Award as the Award for Best Female Fiction Performance with the female cast via Premios Ondas and Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Television Series at the Spanish Actors Union Awards in 2015. Birth and early life
Alba Flores was born on October 27, 1986 in Madrid, Spain, to parents Antonio Flores and Ana Villa. She is the only child of the musician, composer and theater producer Antonio Flores. She is the granddaughter of Lola Flores known as “La Faraona.” Her paternal grandfather, Antonio González, known as “El Pescaílla”, was also a Spanish singer and guitarist and considered one of the fathers of Catalan rumba.
Alba studied dramatic performance from the age of thirteen, with secondary training in piano performance. She trained at the Corazza Acting Studio with the renowned acting coach Juan Carlos Corazza.

Career
Flores made her film debut with Chus Gutiérrez’s El Calcito in 2005. She later landed a role in the Antena 3 television series El Sindromo de Ulises in 2008. In early 2013, she was cast in the lead role as the Moroccan maid Jamila. in the Antena 3 series The Time Between Seams. She later played the role of an Indian woman in the made-for-television film based on the life of the Spanish missionary Vicente Ferrer. She also appeared in the TVE series Cuéntame as an important witness in a plot involving corrupt police officers.
Flores became part of the program Vis a Vis and played the character named Saray Vargas de Jesús, a gypsy, who initially faced a 4-year prison sentence for assault. In 2017, Netflix bought the global streaming rights to the show, bringing her to international fame. The show lasted four seasons. In 2017 she starred in the show La Casa de Papel (Money Heist) in the lead role of Nairobi. She appeared in four seasons of the show.
Alba also served as Spanish-language narrator for the Netflix documentary Night on Earth. She acted in theater for a short period of time, but did a number of notable roles such as Hiroshima Honeymoon (2005) and the Romani version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream (2007).
