Aman Gupta was born in 1982 in Delhi, India, to a wealthy Hindu family. He completed his schooling from Delhi Public School, RK Puram and graduated in Commerce from Delhi University (Honours). He got the CA done for him by ICAI. Aman completed his MBA from the Indian School of Business and Finance.

Career
From 2012 to 2013, Aman worked for Harman International as a sales manager in India and was a partner in the company. From 2003 to 2005 he served as Deputy Director of Citibank. Before co-founding BoAt, he co-founded Advanced Telemedia Pvt Ltd and was CEO from 2005 to 2010. Aman worked as an executive consultant at KPMG. He is the founding partner of Imagine Marketing India. He has served as Chairman of the D2C Board of the Internet and Mobile Association of India.
