At the age of 19, he moved to Mumbai to try his luck in the Hindi film industry. She began her journey as a background artist on television. Meanwhile, she landed the lead role in low-budget films like Mandakini, A Little Theft, Maithili and Fatima. In 2022, Ambika rose to fame through the character of Neelam Shekhawat in Colors TV’s show Muskurane Ki Wajah Tum Ho, starring Tanvi Malhara and Kunal Jai Singh.
