American company offers its employees 9 days of paid vacation to “rest and recharge”

In today’s fast-paced and demanding world, hustle culture has become deeply ingrained in our collective mindset. We live in a society that glorifies long work hours, relentless productivity, and the notion that success can only be achieved through relentless dedication.

As a result, many people find themselves trapped in a never-ending cycle of work, neglecting their mental and physical well-being in the pursuit of professional achievement.

One such example is HackerRank, a US tech company in California that recently introduced paid licenses to “rest and recharge.” This software development company is now being praised for its commitment to putting the health of its employees first.

LinkedIn user Shailendra Pandey recently shared a post about it, with a screenshot of an internal email from the California-based company.

The email announced company-wide paid time off for the first week of July.

“We wanted to let you know that HackerRank will be in a company-wide PTO the first week of July. From July 1-9, our team and all of HackerRank will be taking a break to rest and recharge.” the internal email said, according to the screenshot.

One user expressed his excitement, stating, “Love this! Promotes work/life balance.”

Another person praised the initiative, saying“This is great! Mental health should always be a priority.”
